About Me

Carrie Taylor, Founder/Owner

Inspiration

Carrie Taylor is the owner of Golden Marketing. She established Golden Marketing out of the desire to create an experience for clients to know their needs are being heard and business goals are being met with a genuine and thoughtful approach. Having been on both the client and agency side of the business, Carrie understands what it takes to make a relationship work: honesty, authenticity, communication, and collaboration. She provides valuable services at a cost small businesses can manage.

Work Experience

Carrie has twenty plus years of marketing experience working in a variety of industries.

Prior to Carrie starting her own marketing consulting business, she spent seven years with Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance (TOA), the largest orthopedic group in Tennessee. She oversaw the overall marketing/brand strategy and business development which included strategically working with 60 orthopedic surgeons to successfully increase patient volume, patient satisfaction, and brand/reputation management. During her time as Chief Operating Officer (COO), she was responsible for day-to-day clinic operations and practice goals for 17 clinic locations and 400 plus staff members. She is still proud to call TOA a client. Prior to joining TOA, Carrie spent nine and a half years with the Tennessee Education Lottery directing all marketing efforts and building strategic partnerships that resulted in annual sales growth. Carrie also spent time running operations for a Nashville marketing agency where she honed her skills in radio and tv production. As Advertising Manager for the NHL’s Nashville Predators, she was part of the team that collaborated a plan that led to a sold out first playoff series in a non-traditional NHL market.

Education

She earned a master’s from Ball State University (BSU) in Sport Management and a minor in Business. Her bachelor’s degree from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) is in Physical Education with an emphasis in athletic training and a minor in Sociology.

Fun Facts

Even though she now calls Ocean Springs, MS home, Carrie grew up in the middle Tennessee area and is not letting go of her Nashville roots! Some of her favorite things are drawing/painting, spending time in the outdoors with her husband and dog, laughing A LOT, traveling to new places, eating hummus, and watching The Golden Girls.

Community Involvement

Carrie’s passion for animals and kids is obvious through her work over the years with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee, Nashville Humane Association, and A New Leash on Life. She enjoys being of service to her new community through her involvement with the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce, Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce, and Lighthouse Business and Professional Women. As well, she’s a member of the American Marketing Association.
